QOD #7: Where is your happy place?
I spend most every Sunday at Vukuto, church of hip hop, with Mel Jackson and my friends. Vukuto means 'sweat' in Swahili - and boy do we ever! We dance to house, hip hop and all kinds of great music with tambourines. Tambourines!
The workout is dance-y and can be a series of choreographed passages. It is the only workout that has captivated me for a long time. I have been attending this class since 1997. Some of the members have been dancing for 20+ years with Mel. It's great fun and my wonderful, happy place.
